The pupils who counted the stars
The struggle of pupils attending evening schools in Greece during the post-civil war era (1962-1967)

Summary
Persecutions, exile, surveillance... A control network that shapes the daily life of the Greek society after the end of the Civil War. In this suffocating circumstances, something new begins to take shape.
The right to education acquires a central value and meets the need for decent work. In the midst of their daily struggle, the movement of students attending night schools is born. The "Association of Secondary School Working Students" (SEMME) responds to state authoritarianism through multi-level struggles.
In a deeply dark period, the night-school students raised their gaze. And in the darkness of repression, fear and terrorism, they became those who stubbornly counted the stars.
